Venue
The Gene Technology Forum will be held in Vanemuine Concert Hall in Tartu, Estonia.
Conference Language
The official conference language is English. Simultaneous translation will be provided into Estonian as required.
Deadlines
June 25, deadline for registration for lower participation fee.
September 1, deadline for registration to the conference.
July 1, deadline for abstracts.
How to register
In order to register to the Gene Technology Forum 2001, please complete the registration form included and send it to the Conference Secretariat.

A letter of confirmation including complete registration details will be sent to all participants by the Conference Secretariat.
Participation fees
Conference fee includes full attendance, conference materials, lunches and coffee/tea breaks, Welcome Reception, Buffet Dinner and Post-Conference Tour in Tallinn.
Please note that the fee does not include your travel and hotel accommodation expenses.
Please note that the lower conference fee is valid only until June 25, 2001!

- by credit card, please write the credit card details on your registration form
- upon an invoice, please mark your request for invoice on your registration form
After receiving your registration a written confirmation including the payment details will be sent to you by the Conference Secretariat.
Accommodation
Hotels Barclay, Draakon and Pallas have been booked for conference participants. Hotel rooms can be reserved through the Conference Secretariat upon the submission of completed registration form. A written confirmation of the reservation will be sent to you by the Secretariat.
In case you prefer some other hotel or room type than indicated on the registration form please ask the Conference Secretariat for quotation.
Please note! The reservations will be made on "first come, first served" principle. For late registrations accommodation cannot be guaranteed. The special conference price is valid only if the hotel room is reserved and paid in advance through the Conference Secretariat.
Cancellation and Substitution Policy
If you will be unable to attend , you can make substitutions at no extra charge. All the substitutions must be made in written to the Conference Secretariat prior the conference. Refunds will be made less a handling charge for cancellations received in writing prior September 1, 2001. No refunds will be made after that date.
Travel Information
Visas to enter Estonia are not required from citizens of USA and most European countries, including all Scandinavian countries. For detailed information, please visit the website of the Estonian ministry of Foreign Affairs: www.vm.ee
The closest airport is located in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The distance between Tartu and Tallinn is 186 km. A special shuttle service will be provided by the organisers at the airport taking the international conference participants to Tartu and back to Tallinn as required.
Direct flights to Tallinn are available from Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna and several other cities in Europe. For more detailed information on flights to Tallinn please contact your nearest Estonian Air office (www.estonian-air.ee). Estonian Air offers special flight fares to Tallinn.
